The quality of the food and portion size was good for the price. The snapper was fresh and a good size. The chips were crispy. Lost a star for two reasons: 1) The larger red haired server was extremely condescending, to the point where I would actually call it bullying, towards a younger server who was struggling with the new payment system and the fact that we asked to change our fish pack to snapper instead of cod. I know it can be frustrating when trying to teach others and they don't pick up what you are saying as quickly as you would like, but there are much more appropriate ways to communicate. The manager needs to step in to ensure such behaviour doesn't continue or they will churn through staff and drive customers away, as it was honestly uncomfortable to even be present, let alone be the receiver of such demeaning communication. The young server was very polite and kept his cool despite the bullying, so props to him, but it was clear he was quite embarrassed by being spoken to in such a way in front of customers. The red haired server was polite towards us, so no issues there. We didn't interject in the conversation as we didn't want to cause further embarrassment for the young guy, but in hindsight we probably should have in case the manager does not read this review.. 2) as a few others have said, the place needs a bit of a clean. All up, good food and I would return, but I hope management steps up and ensures staff treat each other with respect.

Our order took 40 mins. We noticed there was only two young fellas running the shop but they did well considering. We found the food good and reasonably priced

Lovely little Cafe. Can definitely recommend the bacon and egg burger and the ice cream. It was well worth the money.

Nothing better than hot chips and a cool drink by the water! Enjoyed the breeze, sat inside, watched people and birds visiting the cafe for lunch, absolutely lovely little spot. The veggie burger was super tasty. A potato croquette style patty with peas, corn and carrot pieces, super lightly crumbed for a perfectly crisp bite! My partner for lunch got the hamburger and confirmed a tasty patty with equally fresh lettuce, tomato slices and beetroot (from the veggie burger haha).

The 2 young men working tonight were very polite, friendly, great phone manner. Under stress with online orders not working but kept calm and professional. One downer you forgot my pineapple fritter

We both ordered the fish, chips and salad meal - crumbed cod for husband and battered snapper for me. The young man double-checked our order thoroughly. The battered snapper had a good batter coating which was appreciated (often the batter doesn’t stick but this one was done well). The snapper fish fillet was a good size and the flesh was perfect. The chips were crunchy and complemented the fish well. A half point off their salad however, as the greens were lack lustre but the sliced tomato had flavour and the onion slices were just the right amount, the lemon wedge was juicy and there was ample (tartare?) sauce for the fish. We dined in at the cafe and there was an oversight of no cutlery but to the credit of the young staff member, he brought to our table a metal knife and fork (way better than plastic) with a smile and sincere sounding apology. (Not common in the young ones these days!). We caught the last of the water views as the sun set and both thought the seats were more comfortable than most other cafes of this type. It is a tad run down and lacking in attractive decor but we will revisit another time.
